Der Historiker Nikolai Bessonow (1962-2017) rekonstruiert anhand von Staats- und Familienarchiven sowie Erinnerungen von Roma die tragischen Ereignisse vor 80 Jahren. Dieses wahrhaft „Volksprojekt“ wäre ohne die tatkräftige Hilfe der Roma-Organisationen nicht möglich gewesen. Das Buch richtet sich sowohl an Fachleute als auch an einen breiten Leserkreis.
