The theory, principles of construction, fundamentals of circuitry, as well as methods for designing radios operating in conditions of relatively large changes in the levels of input signals and interference are consistently presented. Factors determining the most important parameter of such radio receivers - dynamic range are considered. The principles of optimization and adaptation of paths according to the dynamic range criterion are described.
