The story "We live here" tells about life on virgin lands, about the work of drivers, about life, morals, spiritual aspirations of young virgin lands. In "Two Comrades" the heroes stand on the threshold of an independent life, their moral ideals are finally determined. The story "Mistress," dedicated to ancient times, exposes the reactionary, obscurantist essence of sectarianism.
