2408 Humanity travels between the stars through portals, abandoning rioters and criminals on a destroyed Earth. Eighteen-year-old Blaze is one of the last seven hundred people fighting for life in dying New York, hit by predators brought from another planet. Blaze had to come out of the shadows to help his father defend the post of leader in a fight against his longtime enemy Fiend.
