Russian emigrant Alexander, who has been working as a police detective in New York for many years, accidentally kills a girl while neutralizing a terrorist. While the incident is being investigated, he is suspended from work and forced to go to a psychologist. However, due to Alexander's secrecy and his complicated past, therapy sessions are not successful. In the middle of the course, the hero receives news of his father's death in Russia and flies to the funeral. Before leaving, the psychologist gives Alexander the address of the person with whom he recommends contacting in Moscow.
