The first section is devoted to the political activities of the Prime Minister of Canada, William Lyon Mackenzie King, who held this post from 1921 to 1948. In fact, the entire history of Canada in the first half of the 20th century after the First World War is associated with his name, but he is not familiar to a wide circle of Russian readers, just as he is not familiar with the history of Canada itself.
