The book includes all the translated Russian works of Clement Fesandie, the most prominent representative of the "Gensbek" school of the American NF, whom Hugo Gernsback himself called the "titan of science fiction." These stories and the short story "Journey to the Center of the Earth" acquaint the reader with the adventures of the ingenious inventor Hackensow and his friends - as well as with the unexpected consequences of his inventions.
