The textbook examines the basics of sociological and political science knowledge: the system-structural and dynamic characteristics of society are given; the nature of social institutions and organizations, the essence and functions of politics, power, state, democracy, opposition are revealed. The content of the model of sustainable development of modern Belarusian society is analyzed.
