Alexey Mikhailovich Zhemchuzhnikov (1821-1908) - an interesting poet of the second half of the XIX century, one of the authors of the works of Kozma Prutkov. A.M. Zhemchuzhnikov for half a century performed with original poems published in Nekrasovsky Sovremennik, Domestic Notes, Iskra and other best Russian magazines. This collection presents with the necessary completeness the poet's work - his satire, lyrics, poems and poetic scenes. The collection prints some unpublished poems by A. M. Zhemchuzhnikov, the texts are exempted from censorship distortions and arbitrary abbreviations. The book uses archival and little-known materials that comprehensively cover the life and work of the poet.
