Anthology "Monuments of medieval Latin literature. VIII-IX centuries" includes both previously published and new translations of poetic and prose texts. The publication attempted not only to trace the development of the most common literary genres of the Middle Ages - life, sermons, epistles, philosophical treatise, historiographic genre - during the VIII-IX centuries, but also to show how different literary genres are presented in the work of each of the authors, how the same author showed himself in poetry and prose.
