The textbook discusses general problems of stylistics, gives a stylistic classification of the English vocabulary. Phonetic, lexical and lexical-phraseological expressive means are described; syntactic expressive means and problems of linguistic composition of segments of a statement that go beyond the limits of a sentence are considered.
