In the novel "The Evil Wind," Inspector Losev neutralizes a seasoned criminal. Losev and his task force solve the difficult task in the second part of the dilogy, where an armed gang confronts the police. Both novels were awarded the prize of the All-Union competitions of the USSR JV and the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs for the best book about the Soviet police.
