General characteristics of communication systems with noise-like signals, transmission and reception of discrete and continuous messages are considered. Issues of application of correcting codes, noise immunity of reception at various powerful noise, generation and processing of such signals, recent achievements in theory and practice of communication systems with noise-like signals are described.
