This edition is an almost complete collection of Irish saga stories of the Ulster cycle (or the "Kuhulin and Konkhobar Cycle"). The main action of these legends takes place at the turn of our era and is described from the standpoint of the northeastern region of Ireland, the so-called Ulidia. The cycle itself was supposedly compiled in the VIII-IX centuries, but the world is much more ancient - wars and internecine feuds, prophecies of druids and magical songs of poets, ritual feasts, battles with monsters and much more, which constituted the material and spiritual culture of pagan Ireland. Translations are accompanied by a detailed commentary. The book is addressed to philologists, historians and everyone who is interested in European culture.
