The reader is offered the second issue of the scientific publication Russian Historical Collection (the first was published in 2004), which continues the traditions of the collection of the same name published by the Society of Russian History and Antiquities at Imperial Moscow University from 1837 to 1844 under the editorship of the secretary of the society of the famous historian M.P. Pogodin. Thematically, the collection is divided into several parts, reflecting various aspects of historical knowledge. It presents materials of scientific discussions, articles and reflections of scientists, publications of historical sources. A separate section is devoted to the works of young authors.
