"Christina Henry's Evil Tales" is originally a personal series by an American writer known under the pseudonym Christina Henry. The series includes her books written in the genre of retelling ("retelling" - arrangement of famous fairy tales), and in her presentation of the story they become a dark fantasy or horror: The White Rabbit holds captives, a rare collector chases after the little mermaid, the careless Peter Pan torments the lost boys, and Little Red Riding Hood (in Henry's version, the Red Jacket) lives in a post-apocalyptic world and her only chance to survive is to escape to her grandmother in a remote forest. Hence the name of the series, and the mark 18 + on Russian-language publications. Then the series was expanded to novels by other authors of the same orientation.
