The book covers the issues of calculation, design and testing of superconducting synchronous machines designed for operation in local networks and as part of a single power system, the results of the study of complex transient processes and technical means of ensuring stability. An overview of the current state of development of electric machines based on high-temperature superconductors of the 2nd generation is given. Topical issues of technical superconductivity are presented in an accessible manner and do not require recourse to special literature.
