Friedrich August von Hayek (1899-1992), winner of the 1974 Nobel Prize in Economics, was one of the most prominent representatives of classical liberalism. Currently, he is considered a classic not only of economic, but also of political thought, and as such enjoys the recognition of not only classical liberals, but also conservatives, as well as representatives of other political movements.
