This publication is prepared for the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the border guard of Russia and the 95th anniversary of the formation of border guards in the Far East. History testifies that even at its sharp turns, when ideological foundations and state regimes collapsed, replacing each other, the defense of the Fatherland, the protection of its borders from outside encroachments became the unifying force that united people, led to the strengthening of the state.
