The collection presents (in whole or in part) the ethical, philosophical and pedagogical works of the leading ideologists of Italian humanism (in the first part: Petrarch, Coluccio Salutati, Poggio Bracciolini, Montemagno). Most texts in Russian are published for the first time. The works of each humanist are sent his biography, comments are given to the texts. The introductory article on the material of published sources highlights the most complex issues of the ideology of Renaissance humanism. The second part of the collection presents the ethical, philosophical and pedagogical works of the leading ideologists and writers of the Italian Renaissance, Gianozzo Manotti and Pierre-Paolo Vergerio. The application includes the works of Boccaccio and the ideologists of the Catholic Church - opponents of humanism.
