The thematic guide offered to the attention of readers is devoted to the military history of Russia of the 9th - beginning of the 21st centuries, presented in the form of a description of wars and armed conflicts in which the Russian state participated, including internal ones, which distinguishes this publication from most similar books of a reference and encyclopedic nature. For the first time, an attempt was made to comprehensively systematize military-historical events, for which chronology is a natural, but not the only main systemic feature.
