For a more lively illustration and for a better acquaintance with flight service and flight life, in many chapters, and especially at the end, a number of episodes told by the participants themselves are given. In many narratives, not only the original language is deliberately preserved, but also that spirit of chauvinism characteristic of each nation, which in the era of imperialist war was inspired by almost all of its participants.
