The monograph, based on a wide range of sources, examined the problems of the resettlement of the peasantry, the peculiarities of peasant land ownership, the transformation of the Russian community in the late XIX - early XX centuries. The prerequisites were analyzed and the stages of the Stolypin agrarian reform were identified, its impact on the fate of the Great Russian peasantry was shown.
