This monograph is devoted to the study of the creative heritage of I.E. Grabar. It examines his little-known own experience of architectural design and analyzes a number of his scientific works that had a significant impact on the domestic historical and architectural school. Identified documents significantly correct the prevailing ideas for some of his discoveries in the field of the history of Moscow architecture. The most significant of this corpus of documents are published for the first time.
