The book compares the poetic works of the two largest representatives of Russian symbolism - A. Blok and A. Bely, and extracts from their correspondence and articles. Ideological and artistic similarities and fundamental differences in the interpretation of national, historical, philosophical, spiritual, moral and aesthetic problems gave the creative relationships of poets the character of a dialogue about the tragic paths of the Motherland the people, about the social and spiritual searches of the 20th century. The appendix contains responses from contemporaries to the works of poets.
