A hundred years ago, a mysterious disease hit the world in which Shai lives: ink spread through the veins, killing people. Settlements died out faster than they managed to understand from what. Then powerful magicians - bards - decided to ban words that pose a threat. Many years passed, but the disease never disappeared. And Shai began to notice strange things around her. As soon as she finished embroidery, she materialized nearby. Frightened that these are symptoms of the disease, the girl decides to tell the bards about everything. But the magicians are sure that she is healthy. And the next day, Shai finds her mother with a dagger in her chest... The village is convinced that the woman died due to an accident, although everything indicates murder. Not knowing whom to trust, Shai goes in search of the truth, but only encounters a new lie, and it is no longer possible to escape from it...
