Neurosis of obsession, or the so-called obsessive-compulsive disorder, for a long time after Sigmund Freud was the subject of interest of psychoanalysts. Today, this interest has begun to fade, the reason for which is the lack of understanding of the message that makes up the essence of Freud's work in the field of obsession structures. The texts of Jacques Lacan, who problematized Freudian thought, contain material, the elaboration and development of which allows the obsession to regain its theoretical potential. The work emphasizes that Lacan's contribution makes it possible to study and analyze the symptoms of obsession not as an individual violation, but as a structure widely found in the mental structure of a modern subject.
