The collective monograph of Russian Korean scholars examined the Korean component of international relations in the Far East, analyzed new trends in the development of the situation on the Korean peninsula after the launch of the satellite and the third nuclear test in the DPRK. The views of the PRC on the situation on the peninsula, the course towards establishing trusting relations with the DPRK, put forward by the new administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as its policy towards Japan, are being investigated. The state and prospects of trade and economic relations between Russia and the Republic of Kazakhstan, the processes of economic integration in the NVA, some pressing problems of the economy of the DPRK and the Republic of Kazakhstan are considered. Separate chapters are devoted to issues of Korean historical and cultural heritage and its connection with modernity.
