In the 20th century, humanity was severely tested. Wars, revolutions, the collapse of empires, internal cataclysms in states caused by the policies of the ruling circles - many of the largest countries, including China, have fully gone through all this. The Chinese people on the way to national liberation and the revival of their country suffered untold sacrifices. But a particularly heavy share went to the Chinese intelligentsia.
