In the summer of 1928, a catastrophe occurred in the ice of the Arctic, which then for a long time attracted the attention of cultural mankind, awakening in the hearts of many dedication, heroism and love for man. Dozens of rescue expeditions of 6 countries worked to assist the expedition members on the Italy airship and the USSR was one of the first to take up work in this direction.
