By machining, it is possible to ensure the quality of coke for blast furnace smelting, stabilize and improve its properties to a given particle size distribution and strength. The technology does not require much investment. A technology has also been developed for loading lumpy anthracite into a furnace up to 90 kgt, which does not require capital investments and ensures high efficiency by reducing coke consumption and the difference in prices for coke and anthracite. Pulverized coal technology is the most efficient today, but in blast furnaces where it is not yet used and the furnace is not ready for injection of PUT up to 200 kgt, anthracite loading can be more efficient.
