"Games and Scientific Entertainment" is a translation from German of G. Niese's books "Games and Experiments" and "25 Experiments in Physics," published in 1955 in Berlin. In an entertaining way, the author talks about the various physical phenomena that we face at every turn, but usually do not think about their scientific explanation. In parallel, the book describes several dozen simple experiments illustrating the most important laws of mechanics, optics, electrical and thermal phenomena, magnetism and many other branches of physics.
