The book examines in detail the Tang novels of Chuanqi - using the example of 27 of the brightest examples of this genre, as well as 60 collections of xiaosho of the Tang era, dedicated to both amazing and ordinary events. Due to the very small study of the material, the author focuses on the introduction of a significant number of new sources into Russian science in their detailed description, which includes both the history of the texts themselves and the history of their study in China - with the involvement of a large amount of the latest Chinese research literature.
