The book tells about the first appearance of money and coins, about the development of trade and money circulation. About what coins were circulated in the South Urals, what money the Bashkirs had before, when and where the modern Bashkir names of money came from. The book widely uses archaeological and numismatic materials found on the territory of Bashkortostan by chance and discovered as a result of excavations, including by the author.
