The name of Pavel Ulitin (1918-1986), almost legendary for someone, was not widely known during the author's lifetime, and the episodic publication of his texts in foreign periodicals did not change the overall picture. Only in the 90s, Ulitin began to print Russian magazines, and in 2002 "Talk about Fish" was published - the first work of the writer, published in full and as a separate book. "Makarov scratches his head" continues the tradition of authentic publication of Ulitin texts, preserving in print the main properties of the manuscript and without violating the "shuttle" connection between the printed word, handwritten sign and oral speech, which we have the right to consider the basis of Ulitin's writing technique - experimental, mysterious and completely original.
