The legitimacy of law implies its approval as a just order by ordinary people. Law is based on a wide range of sources, including customs and traditions, religious norms, moral views, contracts, business practices, legal practices, regulations and judicial precedents. In the era of "post-truth," law and arbitrariness complement each other, the authorities purposefully construct public opinion, form a picture of the world for "viewers of one channel," endowing their will with legal meanings. Thanks to the suggestive effect, any picture of the world takes on a natural character in the eyes of the population, which is taken for granted. Thus, the social world is artificially endowed with signs of rationality and ontological safety, not at all being such. The legitimation mechanism is based on the struggle of various social groups to impose their interpretation of law and arbitrariness. Public power that ignores compliance with regulations ceases to be legitimate.
