The book is dedicated to the centenary of the birth of D.K. Mochalsky (1908-1988), an outstanding Russian artist of the 20th century. As a teacher, he played a huge role in the formation of Soviet and Russian art in the second half of the 20th century. His works are in the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum and more than 30 Russian and foreign museums.
