Gerhard Schroeder's memoirs are worth reading, and read carefully. This is not a scrupulous chronicle of events - the chronological order of the chapters is deliberately violated. But this is not a detailed autobiography - Schroeder is very stingy in the details relating to his maturity, limiting himself to the most necessary.
