The work contains scientific encyclopedic articles on the problems of the theory and history of empires of the countries of Europe and America of the New and Modern Times. In the vocabulary of the Dictionary there are articles of various problems. First, it includes major generalizing articles on the history of individual European empires of modern and modern times. Secondly, special articles were also prepared here, which dealt with certain aspects of the theory and concept of the history of empires. Thirdly, the authors of the Dictionary also sought to consider and analyze the general categories of imperial political, discursive and cultural practices, to give a conceptual apparatus of research on the history of empires.
