During my long stay in the Western countries of the Empire and in Poland, I was crushed to see how some of our compatriots who are there, having no clear idea of ​ ​ the history of Western Russia and Poland, share their pre-parting with them and show them some compassion. Having had the opportunity, for many years, to get acquainted with the materials explaining the history of Western Russia and Poland, and to collect on the spot not little information and traditions, I outlined my concept of this subject in short essays. Now, during leisure hours, I put my note in order, believed it with the sources under my hand, and decided to publish it.
