Having escaped with battle from the fortress city of Acre besieged by the Mamelukes, Sasha Voronov circularly gets to his native land. But here, too, the squire of the knightly order will have no rest - Tatar hordes are approaching Holy Russia, led by Tver Prince Andrei, who wants to expel his brother from rich Vladimir. The cities fell, the princely squads and the militia were defeated, the Tatars are embarking on a systematic robbery. Voronov declares his own war to the invaders - first alone, and then, as part of a small detachment, he smashes small gangs, frees Russian people from the crowd.
