Modern programming is presented as the art of forcing a computer to solve a problem that has arisen in front of a person. Uniform foundations of mathematics and programming, brief information from the field of graphs, probability theory and information (in its mathematical interpretation) are given. The basic concepts and constructions of modern programming languages ​ ​ are given. A number of issues of programming theory with an emphasis on the mathematical semantics of language constructions are considered.
