The book is dedicated to the USSR Academy of Arts, founded 248 years ago and which played an important role in the development of Russian and Soviet art. The author pays much attention to the story of the achievements of graduates of the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.E. Repin. The book also contains information about the architectural ensemble of the Academy of Arts and the treasures of the museum, the permanent exhibitions of which tell about the stages of development of the Russian architectural and art school.
