The dictionary contains about 27 thousand words of the modern Erzya language found in works of literature, a significant number of spoken and dialect words. Much attention is paid to socio-political and scientific and technical terminology. Terms and names are accompanied by interpretations in Russian. The Dictionary gives color illustrations reflecting the traditional life and culture of the Erzya people. The dictionary is intended for specialists in philologists, translators, teachers and students of higher educational institutions, teachers, radio, press and television workers.
