"Hind Swaraj, or Indian Self-Government" is a work banned by the British government by Mahatma Gandhi, in which topics that have become the main for the great Indian are discussed in the form of questions and answers: non-violent resistance, the struggle for independence, India's place in the world. The work, written by Mohandas K. Gandhi (1869-1948) in 1909, reflected the thinker's views on modern civilization. The book was banned by the British government in India in 1910. The subsequent two world wars, technological progress, the collapse of the colonial system, the creation of weapons of mass destruction, international terrorism did not fit into Gandhi's value system. Nevertheless, the book is of great interest, with the original ideas of the thinker of the early twentieth century.
