I find a diary near the wheel of my car and I have no idea who it belongs to. I open it to see if there is any contact information for its owner, but there is none. People lose things all the time and I should just leave it there on the ground, but two images on the inside cover make me realize how extremely important it is. I have no intention of reading someone's private thoughts, but I am compelled to take the book home to prevent it from ending up in the garbage.I place the diary on my bookshelf, and it keeps haunting me. I need to find the owner in order to get some peace, but to do that, I will have to read through these deeply personal words and search for clues that might lead me to her. With every line I read, I can see her face and I can feel her every word. I bond with this person I have never met and it is impossible to move on without finding her. I get lost in her thoughts and I am one with her story - her joy and sadness becoming mine.The diary makes me feel all the emotions and finding its owner becomes more urgent. I could try to follow the clues I've found, but I'm scared because how can I just hand the book over and walk away when I feel so close to her? As I contemplate my next move, I realize that there is no turning back because the clues in the diary is leading me right to the woman who, without knowing it, has already captured my heart.
