The monograph is devoted to international relations in the Middle East in the 20s of the XIX century. It explores the internal and external position of the Ottoman Empire, the influence of the eastern crisis on the alignment of political forces in this country. The situation in the Eastern Mediterranean was carefully analyzed taking into account the national liberation movements of that period. The author also sees the positions of all European powers that have shown interest in the Middle East problem. The struggle in the international arena is set out against a wide economic, foreign policy and domestic political background.
