The knight of the Middle Ages could be stunned, forced to retreat, but it was extremely difficult to kill. In the absence of weapons, only the option remained - to inflict a fatal blow with a stiletto, which in earlier times was called the "misericord," in the joint of armor. In our history, Army Group Center was such a knight who went ahead to his goal - the capital of our country. In real history, the Red Army in the battle of Moscow managed to overwhelm the enemy and forced to retreat. And although the Supreme High Command considered it possible to completely defeat the enemy, this did not happen. The Red Army, figuratively speaking, at that moment did not find a stiletto to inflict a mortal blow on the enemy. Now the situation has changed, and the 20th Army of Ershakov, located in the rear of the Center group, was supposed to act as a stiletto. And further plans suggested transforming this stiletto into a dagu in addition to a heavy sword - Rokossovsky's 16th army, which was supposed to radically change the course of the war.
