Based on extensive production experience in the manufacture and repair of car bodies, the book contains an analysis of factors affecting their durability. Particular attention is paid to the destruction of bodies caused by corrosion, vibrations and elastic waves, and body protection measures. Recommendations are given on the design of car bodies in order to increase their durability and reduce cost, as well as on the machining of parts and the application of coatings on them.
