The book outlines the basic principles and methods of the mechanics of flexible and absolutely flexible rods. Much attention is paid to the statics and dynamics of rods, especially spatially curvilinear ones. Along with traditional tasks, new ones related to the study of stationary modes of movement of flexible rods are considered.
